Volunteer at the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society
There are many opportunities to volunteer in our organization. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit formed to preserve the history of the Marblehead Lighthouse, the longest continuously-operating lighthouse on the Great Lakes. Over a million people from all over the world flock to the state park each year; we need a minimum of five volunteers every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day to welcome visitors and share about our historic Lighthouse, the Keeper's House, and the U.S. Life Saving Station replica.

Whether you live here year round or are here for a few weeks in the summer, we have a place for you! Our volunteers sell tower tickets, assist in the gift shop, act as docents in the lifesaving station, lay bricks in the pathways, water flowers, decorate the grounds for holidays, document display pieces, and help with much more.

If you have some extra time, we can certainly use your talents - no experience required! Please reach out to our Executive Director, Heidi Osborne at the contact information below, if you are interested in volunteering with the Marblehead Lighthouse Historical Society.
